With it’s respectable blue flag certificate Grand Etang de Saint-Estèphe is considered one of the most pleasant waters for swimming during the summer. Families are well received and the beach is fully equipped and very well supervised.

You will find on the site all the necessary vacation comforts that you would expect, as well as restaurants and cafes. You can also rent canoes, paddle boards and various other water sport activities. A special zone of the lake is reserved for the little ones, in order to let them play in maximum comfort and safety, making this an ideal spot for the whole family to spend the day.

Follow the yellow labelled walking route to find ‘The Roc Branlant’ a large block of granite 3 meters long, deposited by the stream. It is the most impressive block of stone in a group known as the “Chapelé du Diable”, An almost mystical fairytale hiking loop of about 4 km, starting from the village of Saint-Estephe, allows you to walk along this astonishing site and follow the river La Doue , to the Etang de Saint-Estèphe.
